Baradla-cave, medium length tour (Vörös-tótól Jósvafőig)

Tour details: See the best of our most recently upgraded tourist cave incorporting new lights, tracks and infastructure catering for tourists. This tour consists of an approximately two hours, 2.3 kilometers long walk in the Jósvafő section of the Baradla cave. The tour leaves from the Vörös-tó (Red lake) and ends at the cave exit Jósvafő, just next to the Hotel Tengerszem. It follows the course of Styx stream and passes by the "Astronomical telescope", which is the tallest stalagmite not only in the cave system, but also in Hungary. The trip also crosses the so-called Giants Hall, which is the biggest chamber of this system and where a unique musical experience awaits you.

Tour grade: Easy tourist cave

Clothing and/or equipment: Casual with good footwear and light sweater/jacket if required.
